The daughter of actor Jamie Foxx updated on his medical condition and said he is “on the way to recovery.”

According to a person with knowledge of the matter, Oscar-winning actor Jamie Foxx is still being monitored in a hospital in Georgia.

On Wednesday night, Jamie Foxx’s family announced that the actor had been admitted to a hospital in Atlanta due to a “medical complication.”

The person said, “They are conducting tests and continuing to try to figure out exactly what took place.”

Foxx was in Atlanta filming “Back in Action,” a comedy for Netflix that sees Cameron Diaz play a character in a movie for the first time in almost ten years. Director Seth Gordon, with whom Foxx collaborated on Horrible Bosses, also features Andrew Scott and Jamie Demetriou in the movie.

Another person familiar with the movie’s development stated that filming is “currently underway and expected to wrap up next week.” This insider did not go into detail regarding if Foxx still had sequences to shoot or if he would be returning to the set.

Foxx, 55, received the “best actor Oscar in 2005” for his performance as the “pianist and singer Ray Charles in the biopic Ray.” He was nominated for an “Oscar for best supporting actor” the same year for his performance in the Tom Cruise movie “Collateral.” Additionally, he has released five albums, the last four of which peaked in the US Top 10, and in 2010 he won a Grammy for the song “Blame It.”

He has two children, Corinne Foxx and Annalise Bishop. On Wednesday evening, his daughter Corinne Foxx posted on Instagram that her dad had encountered a “medical complication,” but added that he is “on his way to wellness.”

She writes, “We wanted to let you know that my father, Jamie Foxx, encountered a medical issue. Fortunately, he is already recovering thanks to rapid action and excellent treatment. We recognise his adoration and value your prayers. “Privacy is requested at this time by the family.”
