43 farm workers slaughtered and further six injured in rice fields near the Northeast Nigerian city of Maiduguri by Boko Haram said anti-jihadist militia to AFP.
Militia leader Babakura Kolo also confirmed the news and said that they have recovered 6 people with serious injuries and 43 dead bodies of the farmworkers and all of them are slaughtered. Babakura Kolo is helping the survivors and the injured ones and further added that the slaughtering is no doubt done by Boko Haram who is active in the area and frequently attacks the farmers.
The dead farmworkers were laborers from Sokoto state in North-west Nigeria and they had traveled to the northeast in search of work.
