Another “$350 million” in military assistance for Ukraine has been approved by the US

According to U.S. Secretary of State, Mr. Antony Blinken, the United States is approving an additional “$350 million” in military assistance for Ukraine as Kyiv prepares for a foreseeable military campaign against Russian forces.

It also includes ammunition for “HARM missiles, riverine boats, Bradley infantry fighting vehicles, anti-tank weapons, and other equipment,” according to a statement from Blinken.

“Ukraine is defending itself with howitzers and HIMARS provided by the United States,” the statement continued.

For self-defence against Russia, which attacked its pro-Western neighbour on February 24, 2022, the United States has sent Ukraine more than $30 billion worth of weapons.

After speaking over the phone with their counterparts in Ukraine, “U.S. Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin,” “Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Mark Milley” and “White House national security adviser Jake Sullivan,” expressed their unquestioning support for Ukraine. Days later, the latest American aid was announced.

On Friday, “the White House” reported that the president of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky had also participated in that call.

In order to launch a counter-offensive and attempt to retake land that the Russians had previously conquered, Kyiv is attempting to amass enough weapons and military equipment from its Western allies, of which the U.S. has been the most prominent.

Russia could finish its conflict right now by itself,  “we will remain steadfast in our support of Ukraine until Russia acts,” Blinken stated on Monday.

America’s new support declaration was announced on the same day that Chinese President Xi Jinping met with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow to push Beijing’s possible role as a mediator in Ukraine.

After the Russian president’s arrest warrant was issued by the “International Criminal Court (ICC)” on Friday in connection with the transfer of Ukrainian minors to Russia, Xi was the first world leader to visit Putin.
