Aga Syed Danish Rizvi is carrying the legacy of Sufi Poetry on his shoulders.

Sufism came into India from a foreign land but got mixed here like sugar in water. The mystic art form has around 1000 years of evolving history on this land. Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti, a disciple of Khwaja Usman Harooni brought this beautiful mystic art form to India.

Sufism is believed to be the path to closeness with the Almighty. Many devotees of Sufism have made it their lifestyle. Sufism is a part of Islam and with the passing years, it has found a place in the heart of poets also. Many poets do Sufi poetry but only a few can justify the beauty of Sufism through their words. Among such beautiful Sufi poets is Aga Syed Danish Rizvi. Mr. Rizvi is a devoted Sufi mystic Poet and he has given half of his life to it. 

Aga Syed Danish Rizvi’s beauty in poetry can be a reflection of the heaven he belongs to. Danish belongs to the Summer Capital (Srinagar) of Jammu and Kashmir, India. The 26-year-old is also a writer and influencer. 

Inspired by the father “Aga Syed Maqbool Hussain Rizvi” Danish started writing at the age of 5. When children could barely read and write, Danish was writing poetry.

His father Aga Syed Maqbool Hussain Rizvi who is a spiritual clerk is his inspiration. His father has always taught him to value God above everything and life is merely a journey to reach the Almighty. Danish believes that destiny is the poet’s creator. 

Danish idolized Hussain Ibn Ali (Grandson of Prophet Mohammad) and he is making his debut in the world of poetry. His first book “Sron Sar”  has been published. The title of the book ‘Sron Sar’ means the lake with the depth that no one can measure and it consists of 110 poetries. The poems are aligned in a way that conveys a journey to destiny through the Poet himself. With his work, Danish wants to promote the Kashmiri language and Kashmiri culture.This Sufi mystic Poet is an inspiration to others.
