Bollywood actor Satish Kaushik, who died at the age of 66

In the Indian capital of Delhi, 66-year-old Bollywood actor and director Satish Kaushik passed away.

The actor had a heart attack on Thursday morning, according to his nephew Nishaan Kaushik. He was in his car when the accident happened, and he was immediately taken to the hospital, where the doctors declared him dead.

As an actor, comedian, screenwriter, and producer in the Hindi cinema business, Kaushik played numerous roles and did different works.

He played a cook named Calendar in the 1987 major blockbuster Mr. India, which was his first major acting role. The part allowed him to show off his later-famous comic timing.

He portrayed notable roles in a number of other movies, including Ram Lakhan, Jaane Bhi Do Yaaro, and Deewana Mastana. His filmography also includes Tere Naam, Prem, Hum Aapke Dil Mein Rehte Hain, and Roop Ki Rani Choron Ka Raja.

Kaushik, who was born on April 13th, 1956, attended the National School of Theatre after earning a degree from Kirori Mal College of Delhi University.

He was an active social media user; he often shared the memories of his work. In 2020, he tweeted a picture of himself arriving in Mumbai, India, in 1979 to pursue a career as an actor, and the response to the image was very positive.

The actor was honored by a number of Bollywood celebrities and politicians.

Announcing the news on Twitter, actor Anupam Kher stated that “he had been friends with Kaushik for 45 years and that his loss will change his life forever.”

“A man who always laughed, even in the toughest crisis, and stood by everyone in his dilemma,” according to director Subhash Ghai. According to Home Minister Amit Shah, the actor would be recognized for his “contribution to Indian cinema, artistic works, and achievements.”

“Emergency,” an impending period drama, will be Kaushik’s final outing on the big screen.
