In a post-Budget webinar titled “Unleashing the Potential: Ease of Living Using Technology,” Mr. Modi said, India is going to be a developed country by 2047. Adding that the huge and cutting-edge digital network being built to make sure that the advantages of the digital revolution reach all residents will help India accomplish its goal of being a developed country by 2047,
He added, “The government aims to lower the cost of compliance for small firms and has requested the sector create a list of compliances that can be reduced.” We want to lower small enterprises’ compliance costs. Industries can compile a list of redundant regulations that can be cut. “40,000 compliances have been completed.”
He pointed out that India is building a cutting-edge digital infrastructure and making sure that everyone benefits from the digital revolution.
To solve the issues that taxpayers encounter, technology is being employed to make the tax system faceless.
He added that technology is being used to bring about a qualitative change in Indian residents’ lives, saying, “We employed technology to render the taxation system anonymous and to address difficulties experienced by taxpayers.”
He claimed that emerging technologies like 5G and AI (artificial intelligence) are dominating discussions right now and are set to revolutionise several industries, including medicine, agriculture, and education.
The Prime Minister urged participants to list 10 issues that affect the average person that can be resolved by AI. He stated that technology served as the foundation for “One Nation, One Ration” and that the “Jan Dhan Yojana,” the “Aadhaar card,” and the “Mobile Number” Trinity assisted in providing benefits to the underprivileged.
The 21st century, according to him, is driven by technology, and one cannot confine it to only digital and online technology.
