With six nominations, rap artist Dave tops the field in this year’s GRM Daily Rated Awards.
The 24-year-old is vying for male artist of the year following his headlining performances at the Reading and Leeds festivals.
He has received two nominations for video of the year and two more for track of the year.
For an album of the year, the rapper will compete against Kojey Radical, Little Simz, Fredo, Tion Wayne, M Huncho, and Knucks.
Additionally, Little Simz is competing for female artist of the year and video of the year. It is planned to broadcast the ceremony, which honours rap and grime, in October.
The GRM Daily urban music platform’s fan-voted awards will be shown on E4 for the first time.
Dave is not the only artist to have received multiple nominations; ArrDee, Cleo Sol, Little Simz, M Huncho, and Tion Wayne have also received multiple nods. Aitch has received two nominations for video of the year.
Aitch’s Baby ft. Ashanti, Flowers (Say My Name) by ArrDee, and Obsessed With You by Central Cee are among the contenders for track of the year.
The nominees for a female of the year include Mahalia, Ms Banks, Stefflon Don, and FLO, to name just a few.
People including KSI, Mo Gilligan, Munya Chawawa, Nella Rose, and Big Zuu have been nominated for the personality of the year.
For the first time since the pandemic, the ceremony will be held in person. Hosts and performers have not yet been revealed.
Rapper Tion Wayne won track of the year, and Jorja Smith won female artist of the year the previous year.
