Israel and India are allies on a strategic level. On September 17, 1950, India declared that it had recognised Israel. The Jewish Agency opened an immigration office in Mumbai shortly after that.
According to a statement from the MEA, India and Israel will commemorate 30 years since their bilateral ties were upgraded to full diplomatic status.
India and Israel have cordial and forward-thinking political relations. On November 2, 2021, Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi met in Glasgow, United Kingdom, outside the “UN Climate Change Conference (COP 26).”

All areas of cooperation between India and Israel, such as water, agriculture, counterterrorism, and defence, have developed bilateral dialogue forums.
In December 2020, the 16th Foreign Office Consultations were held, according to a MEA announcement.
On Tanzania’s Union Day, EAM Jaishankar also sent greetings to the nation’s leadership and people.
